Job Position : Sr. Manager MPLS

Job Description :

Leads a team of solution architects. Work is performed with minimal direction and is reviewed by senior management. Anticipates and identifies complex business needs and recommends solutions to moderately complex problems. Oversee support to sales team by solution architects or be a senior individual contributor. Tactical role which provides a marked contribution to defining the direction of new solutions, processes, standards or operational plans based upon business strategy, with a significant mid term impact on business unit overall results. Identifies problems and significantly improves, changes or adapts existing method and techniques of developing solutions. Focus is on implementation and control rather than policy and strategy development. Impact of decisions made is short to mid-term in nature. May have small to medium profit and loss responsibility. May have involvement in regional projects, but as a team member rather than project leader.

Graduate in Engineering Experience : 8-10yrs

Areas of Responsibility

• Identify the practice areas in IP MPLS to serve global Telcos/ MNOs
• Practice areas to be developed spanning IP, MPLS Core and Access,
• DSLAM’s, FTTx, ATM and IPv6 and Transmission Technologies (Engineering , Operations and Audit )
• Capability to be built in IP, IPv6 ,Data and Transmission Technologies.
• Develop particular practice keeping in view the market potential, Competition, ROI, etc.
• Support in developing resources to address RFPs in IP, IPv6, Data and Transmission Technologies domain
• Lead the development, approval, training, and communication of new products/product changes and their associated customer, operational, system & process impacts the various internal organizations.
• Keeping updated knowledge on different vendor products and technologies.
• Understanding of client telecom network and identify the areas for improvement.
• Participate in seminars and preparation of white papers.
• Client network audit and optimization
• Provide pre sales Technical support to Sales Team.
• Preparation of presentation material
• Travel within the region to attend customer meetings, solution defense etc..
• Display a high level of critical thinking in cross-functional process analysis and problem resolution for new and existing customer opportunities.
• Coordinate and build strong working relations with various internal organizations including; IT, Engineering, Sales, Marketing, Product Development, & Operations.
• Identify opportunities to improve the products/solutions
• Working closely with customers, account managers ,bid management and business solution .
• Provide design and architectural recommendations for network services within their domains.
• Ensure that customer gets a quality and timely solution.
• Keeping updated knowledge on different vendor products and technologies

Work Experience Requirements

• 15+ years of experience in telecom domain and at least 5 years of experience in IP, MPLS Core and Access, DSLAM’s, FTTx, ATM and Transmission Technologies domain
• Experience with network service outsourcing providers would be advantage
• Strong Communication Skills, Good in technical documentation and processes
• Experience of IP / MPLS operation and Internet and VPN customers, diagnosis and trouble ticket closure, resolving network operation and performance issues
• Experience on IPV6 ,OSPF V2 , OSPF V3, BGP, MSDP, PIM, SSM, RSTP,LLDP, 802.1x , CoS, routing policies.
• Domain knowledge for IP/ MPLS, MetroE with Huawei NE40E, NE80E , NE5000E, S5300 , S5600. Cisco Routers 7600, 7200 Switch Series 3700, 3500,3400,2900 , ALU Routers 7450, 7750, Juniper M320, MX40, MX80, MX240, MX480 , T320, T640, etc.
• Domain knowledge on IP and ATM DSLAM’s like EDN 312, EDN 312xp, ALU 7302 ,7330 , Huawei MA 5300/5600 , Stinger MS+
• Experience on FTTx/GPON products like ALU 7342 , Huawei MA 5600T
• Experience on Transmission products Huawei, ECI, Tejas, Infinera , Ciena , ALU

Education & Technical / Professional Certificates

• Master’s in Business Administration (Telecom Management) - Preferred
• Post Graduate / Bachelor in Engineering - Electronics or Electronics & Communications
• Depth of knowledge in the domains of : IP/MPLS, DSLAM, FTTx& other emerging technologies
• Preferred certifications like : CCIE /CCNA / CCNP / JNCIS

• Good blend of telecom domain and technical skills
• Good negotiation skills and people management skills
• Strong oral & written communication skills communicate with internal and external customers
• Advanced working knowledge on MS-Office applications & Technical systems

Other Requirements

(Like Job requires frequent travel, Willingness work in shifts etc…)
• Job involves frequent travel and working in multi geography timings
• Should have a passport valid for next 2 years at least.
