Job Position : Senior Bid Manager
Job Description :
To be responsible for managing large and complex strategic bids for the Service Provider segment in the Americas and Europe region.
•To be the custodian of the bid management process in region for the Service Provider Segment and ensure that it is communicated to, understood by, and complied with by all stakeholders in the process.
•To work with a core team of the regional leads from Sales, Business Development, Sales Engineering, Commercial Management and Product Management on deal Qualification in order to commit time and resource to pursuing large and complex bid opportunities.
•To apply the bid process for Qualified bids including holding regular bid reviews with the core team plus ensuring that other stakeholders are included and consulted at the right times including but not limited to Finance, Legal, Regulatory, Tax, Service Delivery Project Management, Service Assurance, Procurement.
•To be responsible for producing a bid plan and timeline to ensure that all input required for the bid proposal document is clearly communicated to all stakeholders together with a timeline for completion of their input.
•To be responsible for producing a risk register for all large and complex bids and ensuring input is received from all stakeholders together with proposed risk mitigation.
•To be responsible for the production of the bid proposal document on time and to good quality.
•To be responsible for ensuring that all internal approvals are obtained in a timely manner before the bid proposal is released.
•To be responsible for the handover from Bid to ‘in-life’ management of the contract once a bid is won, either to Service Delivery or Contract Management, or both, as appropriate.
•To be responsible for providing high level reporting to Senior Management of the status of all large and complex bids in region that are in progress.
•Oversees executing, evaluating, and/or managing new initiatives and business processes/opportunities that may involve coordination between the sales channel and other organizations, such as Marketing, etc.Lead and drive the bid management, content management, commercial management and commercial deal architecture teams including target & process setting, performance tracking and escalations management to ensure providing timely & efficient support to business.
•May lead a team through expertise in most or all areas within Business Operations/ Commercial Operations.
•Tactical role which provides a marked contribution to defining the direction of new products, processes, standards or operational plans based upon business strategy, with a significant mid term impact on business unit overall results.
•May lead important projects that require providing experienced project team members with instruction, guidance and advice in all aspects of the project to ensure delivery of quality outcomes.
•Identifies problems and significantly improves, changes or adapts existing methods and techniques.
•Focus is on implementation and control rather than policy and strategy development.
•Self-sufficient, capable of identifying key issues and priorities and focusing on these to deliver required results with minimal direction and supervision.
•Able to identify problems and significantly improve, change or adapt existing methods and techniques.
Skills
•Graduate ( Engineer in Telecommunications preferred)
•8-12 years (Wholesale Telecoms sales experience preferred
