Job Position : AVP/ VP – Technology

Job Description :

To provide the technology & products direction in line corporate strategy, lead teams to set up & manage technology systems & infrastructure, product development, information security, Technology operations & quality initiatives for company with the objective of automation, enhance productivity, create technology and products capability for customer delivery and operational excellence for all technology related products /solutions

Responsibilities

Strategy
•Responsible for crafting the strategy for the Technology and Products development function of the company (0 to 3 years road map).
•Prepare the Annual operating plan (manpower budget, systems to be purchased/ upgraded budget), budgeting of recurring payments, splitting of budget into CAPEX and OPEX.
•Analyze the product profitability on the current portfolio which feeds into the corporate strategy for company

Pre Sales
•Analyze and administer the business case and create the bid
•Responsible to oversee technology solutions, project plan, effort estimates & BOM (bill of materials) leading to cost estimates.
•Guide the team to prepare business presentations, demos to customers.
•Participate in high level meetings with the CXO of the prospect organizations.
•Administer creation of market intelligence.
•Prepare and administer scope of work, project plan, SLA,s for customers or vendors, assist in contract structuring and negotiations.

Capability Building (Solutions)
•Evaluate products, participate in make or buy decisions or alliance decisions for creating solutions for market.

Information Management
•Administer all the systems and solutions to ensure customer uptime as per the signed SLA,s administer help desk for problem logging and troubleshooting with in the agreed TAT, administer that the disaster recovery solutions are created , maintained and drills performed periodically
•Responsible to establish and maintain the company ,s vision, strategy and program to ensure information assets are adequately protected
•Monitor that the PCI - DSS ( payment card industry - data security standards) & RBI PSS ( Payments settlement systems) certificates are obtained and maintained as per the guidelines
•Monitor and review uptime, SLA & penalty clauses for technology operations team.

Product Development
•Create and integrate solutions for a particular customer delivery and perform project/ program management for all deliverables to the customer within the pre agreed scope and time frame
•Administer that the handover happens to the technical operations team after getting relevant sign off from customers

Qualification
•BE (Preferably Electronics, IT or Computer Science)
•M.S. or equivalent qualification

Experience
•Should have minimum of 15-20 years of experience in IT field (in Banking & Financial Services Industry)

Skills
•The successful candidate will be a technical operational leader with rich experience, with a proven track record of successfully leading a distributed, multi-disciplined engineering organization (R&D, Software Engineering, Quality, Operations) of a similar size (25-40) or larger for a financial institution known in the industry
•Knowledge of technology in Payment Systems including software & domain expertise to provide thought leadership at company
•Exposure to managing Switching operations in a PCIDS standards environment is preferred
•Good knowledge of Electronic Banking Industry
•Must have knowledge of Switching - ATM Driving, Shared Network, Visa, MasterCard, Value Added Services
•Card Management: Setting up the Card Management process technically and operationally for both Credit and Debit Cards.
•Knowledge of integrating with various third party functionality like Card Embossing, Pin Generation and Printing.
•Host Messaging: Host-to-Host ISO 8583 (87 and 93 version), Switch to ATM (NDC and DDC)
•Reconciliation know-how in various reconciliation, ATM reconciliation, Host to Host reconciliation, Visa reconciliation, MasterCard reconciliation, Shared Network reconciliation
•Knowledge of ATM functioning and POS functioning
•Knowledge of Mobile Banking, Prepaid Mobile Payment Systems, Net-Banking and Tele-Banking
