Job Position : Senior Business Objects Administrator

Job Description :

Business Objects Administrator will serve as a key member and will be focused on supporting Business Objects Tools and analytic capabilities.
•The candidate will be responsible for installation, maintenance and troubleshooting of the Business Objects shared environment.
•The candidate should have broad experience in DR environment setup/support & administrating the complete suite of tools.
•Candidate should have worked on Onsite/Offshore working model.

DR [Disaster Recovery] Environment Setup/Support
•To Plan for DR Setup/Support
•Able to setup and configure DR
•To test and Manage DR

BI Admin Support
•To support BO universes & dashboards (BO 4.0 &Xcelsius)
•Troubleshooting performance issues including Database optimization (Oracle) for BI reporting with understanding in (Star schema and snowflake schema design)
•Knowledge in Change Control Management for BI tools.
•Good Knowledge in testing methodology including regression testing.
•Troubleshooting Issues with services on the BO server
•Able to Investigate report failures when necessary
•Good in troubleshooting user access/security issues
•Should be able to resolve issues with file store backups
•Should be able to setup proactive monitoring processes
•Should be able to assist with audit reports

Key Responsibilities
•Business Objects suite of tools - Candidate will perform installation, migration, configuration, maintenance, technical support and troubleshooting of Business Objects implementation in a shared environment
•Participate in and contribute to the implementation of best industry practices for Business Objects tool set
•Contribute to architecture and capacity planning activities
•Conduct performance tuning and capacity management •Implement patches and other day-to-day Business Objects administration task
•Work with IT and business users to resolve support and technical questions
•Contribute to coordination and planning of Business Objects related activities
•Provide off-hours and weekend support if required

Skills
•3-5 years of SAP Business Objects administration experience with good knowledge in using SAP Business Objects tools (Universe Design Tool, Web Intelligence, Designer, Xcelsius/Dashboard Design, and Crystal Reports) & previous experience in DR is necessary
•Pixel-perfect eye for detail and a proven ability to quickly find solutions to complex technical problems
•Excellent work ethics and a hands-on mentality
•Excellent problem solving skills
•Excellent written and verbal skills
•B.E / B.Tech / MCA or equivalent degree from well recognized institute.

Must Have
•SAP Business Objects tools (Universe Design Tool, Web Intelligence, Designer, Xcelsius/Dashboard Design, and Crystal Reports) & previous experience in DR is necessary
