Job Position : General Manager – New Business Development
Job Description :
Drive business growth through new customer base nationwide both by direct selling and distribution.
•Build strategic sales plan incorporating regional market analysis, evaluation of the competition, identification and tracking of new business targets, review of growth opportunities in key accounts.
•Follow strictly through the FCPA process and abide by the law, percolate and educate the direct reportee’s the process and itsimplications to ensure non-violation of FCPA laws.
Responsibilities
•Develop strategy for the new product launch (diagnostics) in conjunction with the NPD team and Marketing.
•Identify customer base for the new products, potential markets and sales plans
•Analyze competitive market data, players and forecast possible market share to grow the business.
•Help develop a Long Range Plans for company growth based on sales forecast and the team’s ability on revenue generation.
•Forecasting budgets for the sales function (Pan India)
•Partner with the existing sales team to develop customer base and sales.
•Percolate to the direct reports and ensure that direct reports in turn percolate to their team, all sales related discussions, sales strategies and its action plans.
•Training existing sales team
•Annual pricing review and budgeting exercise with finance
•Reporting MIS
•Appoint distributors/dealers and drive business generation.
•Sign off the distribution agreements, and relevant documents with the dealers/distributors.
•Develop new business and leadership skills to manage field sales force, when the team is completely hired.
•Guide/Mentor and coach the sales team in behavioral and technical needs of the position they hold.
•Achieving target levels of new business through effective management of a team of sales professionals, network of dealers and distributors.
•Gather direct customer feedback on products and share the feedback with respective team (Marketing, NPD and Manufacturing)
•Support marketing campaigns through active presence in trade shows, exhibitions and other events
•Reporting through weekly/bi-weekly meetings on sales update, outstanding collections, new market development, new client development etc.
•Guide and mentor the team in the tender processes of government businesses.
•Lay down processes of tender submissions, commission agreements and sign offs.
•Cost conscious, monitor and ensure the team’s travel, entertaining clients and other business expenses are as per policies and ensure adherence to the company policies.
Qualification
•B.E/B.Tech (Bio medical engineering) with MBA (Marketing) preferred
•Minimum 8 -14 years of experience, of which at least 6 years should have been in a leadership role.
Skills
•(MS Office-Excel/word), ERP or Oracle
•High level of integrity and ethics in conducting the business dealings.
