Job Position : Sr. Engineer R&D – AIR Messenger

Job Description :

Analyze and investigate calls escalated by the Customer Support and Deliveries teams.
•Perform diagnostics and troubleshooting.
•Liaise with other teams and third-party software suppliers to ensure the timely resolution of technicalissues.
•Produce and test code revisions to fix bugs found in live versions of the code.
•Document, test and release new revisions of software to local offices.
•Other duties and assignments as required and agreed upon.

Skills
•Provide design input and technical assistance to colleagues working on complex investigations.
•Review code and software release documentation.
•Provide on-the-job training or mentoring based on your areas of expertise to other members of the Sustaining team as required.
•Potentially coordinate projects or initiatives within the team
•The candidate needs to have working experience in telecom products such as SMSC, EIR, MSC, or HLR.
•Solid knowledge of C or another procedural language, C++.
•Knowledge of SS7, mobile telecommunications, GSM, IS41.
•Familiarity and working knowledge on protocols like MAP, SMPP, Diameter, and CAP.
•Working knowledge of UNIX (Linux and/or Solaris), including installing and configuring products to run on Unix-based systems, troubleshooting applications running on UNIX and scripting.
•Experience integrating communications protocols, e.g. TCP/IP, SMPP.
•Competence in Database technologies like MySQL, post-gre sql.
•Experience with real-time development. Knowledge of configuration management tools, preferably to include ClearCase and ClearQuest.
