Job Position : Head of Network Planning

Job Description :

You will be a member of Corporate Network Team.
•As a Head of Network Planning team, You will be responsible for proactive communication with Business and Technical stakeholders, Vendors and Partners to cost effectively plan and deliver new Network solutions.
•You will be responsible to lead, guide and direct the network planning activities at designing the optimum network to maximize return on investment, identifying and defining world class engineering standards, developing roadmaps to successfully integrate technology required to support value added services and developing subordinates with a view to ensure customer satisfaction, capital and operational expenditure reduction to make the preferred service provider in the circles in which it operates.
•You will also control Network capacity extensions and ensure timely delivery and good quality.
•As a leader of the Network Planning team You will be responsible for building, developing and motivating Your team, with special focus on Companies values and Code of conduct.

KEY RESULT AREAS/ KEY DELIVERABLES
•Establish regular communication with Business and Technical stakeholders, Vendors and Partners
•Communicate and cooperate with other Telenor business units, ensure proper information flow and knowledge transfer
•Support Telenor\'s industrialization and standardization goals in Network Planning
•Create a cost efficient network plan and design focusing on coverage, capacity and quality based on network and quality requirements identified in the business plan and through discussions with Circle Heads and Corporate Functional Heads in Sales, Marketing, Network, IT and Finance
•Work together with the CTHs, Circle Network planning, CO and Circle Operations teams, review and validate all aspects of network related to RF planning, Transmission planning, Switch planning, VAS planning, ensure adherence to policies and specifications
•Determine and document standards and specifications for network engineering (e.g. for cell site locations, site design, equipment selection, etc.), monitor adherence to these standards by circles
•Review and formulate technical network designs for network elements
•Develop standards for network integration hardware and software and ensure adherence to these standards at the time of installation
•Interact with vendors for new network products/features to enhance quality of service and value addition to the network
•Liaise with external agencies such as DOT, VSNL etc. to support relevant approvals for network design wherever required
•Prepare monthly / quarterly capacity utilization and augmentation forecasts, based on the actual data and business plan ensure cost effective capacity management, in line with quality targets
•Control and follow-up the ongoing Network projects, ensure effective communication with the business stakeholders and Network vendors
•Participate in Network related financial forecasting, provide precise inputs for Financial planning teams
•Actively participate in network related sourcing activities
•As a leader, build, develop and continuously motivate Your colleagues
•Live according to corporate values and always act according to the Code of Conduct

Education
•At least degree in Electronics, Telecommunications

Experience
•15 years relevant experience, 5 years leadership experience

Competencies
•Good knowledge of wireless/mobile communications systems , specific experience in GSM Network domains
•Strong technical & planning skills, structured approach
•Good communication and coordination skills
•Ability to work under high pressure and with time constraints
•Good leadership skill and experience in team management
