Job Description :
The main responsibility is to provide ongoing post-production support with emphasis on technical expertise
•Provide high quality and timely issue resolution to problems by troubleshooting defects in existing database applications and database objects.
•Review and research customized objects and provide insight for correcting or improving these objects.
•Design, develop, analyze and implement Oracle forms, reports, database applications, and database objects.
•Document support issues and create meaningful reports to users and management.
•Write or update code documentation, functional designs, and integration tests for various business processes.
•Proactively identify areas of improvement and take initiatives to address them.
•Optimize the existing stored procedures and oracle reports using SQL tuning methodologies.
•The Technical lead will also assist in selected implementations of new business requirements from various functional areas.
•Assist functional team members with identifying potential solutions to new business requirements.
•Assess how well a product adheres to its design, follows best practices, and meets business needs.
•Assist in the documentation of techno-functional design documents for new business requirements
•Develop solutions or implement corrections that are long-lasting and follow development best practices
•Establish effective relationships with users and functional resources to troubleshoot production problems or to implement new business requirements.
•Learn and understand the complexities and interdependencies of the various business processes across HR, OTL, Projects, Finance, and others.
•Assess various business requirements from different levels in the organization to create or improve an object.
•Work in a team environment and collaborate with system managers and functional resources to prioritize, optimize, and implement solid business solutions.
Skills
•7+ years of Oracle technical experience with Oracle post-production support and full-life cycle implementations: Oracle database, forms, reports, Discoverer, SQL/PL-SQL.
•Experience with R12 is a must
•Experience with Oracle Projects and/or OTL is a must
•Significant experience with Oracle database query tools such as TOAD.
•Good knowledge of XML Publisher
•Experience with workflow design and workflow troubleshooting is a must.
•Must have worked on all RICE elements (Reports, Interfaces, Conversions, and Extenstions)
•Experience with AIM methodology – proficiency writing techno-functional design documents a must.
•Strong verbal and written communications in English is a must.
•Experience with Financials, iExpense, iProcure is highly desirable
•Experience with development of complex scripts/programs/reports/workflows is highly desirable.
•Knowledge of performance tuning
•Good knowledge of UNIX, Oracle Applications Framework (OAF)
•Experience with XML and HTML is a plus
•DBA and System Administration experience is a plus
•Able to work efficiently with little or no supervision
•Ability to quickly learn/research Oracle standard functionality
•Ability to effectively manage multiple tasks at once.
•Finance knowledge a plus.
•Ability to adapt communications to non-technical stakeholders at all levels across multiple business units.
•High level of integrity and experience with ERP/development best practices
•Bachelor degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Finance, Engineering, or related field.
•Flexibility around work hours – mostly around US Central time work shift.
