Job Position : Engineering Manager

Job Description :

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead a team of extremely talented engineers while remaining hands-on yourself in development of state-of-art, highly scalable and distributed e-commerce platforms and systems

• Manage day to day software development tasks, resource allocation, bug triaging, status reports and quality control

• Collaborate with product management to understand and deliver new features and enhancements

• Provide frequent and constructive feedback to your team. Mentor juniors and fresh engineers



Desired Profile:

• Atleast 1 Framework experience : Zend framework, YII, Symphony, Codeignitor, PHP-cake

• Good on component based frameworks : jQuery, Extjs, YUI, DOJO etc

• Core PHP Development experience

• MySql experience in depth with views/procedures/events/triggers etc

• BE, B.Tech, ME, M.Tech, MCA in Computer Science or related field from IIT, DCE/DIT, NIT or other reputed institution

• 7+ years of experience in developing cutting edge web-based applictions and web-sites. 2+ years of experience in leading small development teams

• Strong object oriented concepts and knowledge of design patterns

• Solid understanding of PHP5, JavaScript, AJAX and HTML, TDD, refactoring, Lucene, Solr

• Experise in software development on LAMP stack using MVC Frameworks like Yii and Zend

• Well versed with RDBMS with hands on experience in MySQL

• Extremely good communications and interpersonal skills

• Good planning and estimations skills

• Knowledge of Scrum and Agile development practices
