Job Position : Medical Education Specialist

Job Description :

The Medical Education Specialist will be based in Mumbai

The Medical Education Specialist will support medical education activities for both external and internal customers. This position directly reports to the Head –Medical Education.

Major Responsibilities:
• Manage all surgeon training activities, cadaver workshops, surgeon forums, meetings and conventions sponsored by the Company in a compliant manner
• Manage Companies’ India educational training programs and lab training sessions
• Develop rich, relevant and updated content and literature to drive and enhance all the Medical Education programs – online and on site.
• Provide assistance and technical support through sound product and procedure knowledge for new technology cases to key surgeons and their staff.
• Will be responsible for Medical Educational Event Coordination, Consultation agreements, Reimbursement, Clinical Product Trails, Regulatory Affairs and Healthcare Economics
• Support in-house Product Managers on all aspects of pre-launch projects for new product releases and updates, product and procedural training for the in-house team and various customer focused initiatives
• Represent Companies’ at industry conferences, conventions, workshops, educational symposiums, trade-shows and participate in any other functions as requested.
• Identify faculties and KOLs to support our Professional Education Program • Through field trips and frequent interactions, map the surgeon training needs and address them with appropriate value-adding solutions.
• Support Professional Education with innovative program formats

KEY SELECTION CRITERIA
Required Experience

• Bachelor\'s degree in Medicine or Pharmacy. Master’s or Advanced degree is preferred.
• 3 -5 years of experience in medico-marketing and/or professional education with reasonable first-hand experience of managing clinicians and KOLs. Understanding of the medical devices and healthcare industry as well as clinical knowledge is desirable for this poistion.
• Experience in developing and driving professional education programs to meet local medical community needs.
• Excellent communication skills.
