Job Position : Design Engineer

Job Description :

Effectively execute Engineering Design Activities for assigned NPD projects including conceptualization, modeling, Engineering analysis to final design and manufacturing drawings.

Responsibilities
•Assist in creation of Design Inputs based on user needs for new projects
•Completion of Design Outputs (Models, Rapid Prototypes, Drawings,Simulations, Technical Reports, Study Reports)
•Completion of Design Verification Actions (Tolerance Analysis, Simulations, Stress Analysis, Test Plans/Protocols, Test Fixtures, Vendor Finalisation, Testing, Test Reports, Summaries)
•Support process of completion of Prototype Instrumentation & Implants for Validation Labs, support Validation Lab activity, document & complete post validation lab changes based on lab inputs
•Prepare design specification documents for marketing, provide marketing with information as needed to create promotional material
•Evaluate design change requests through research, studies, simulations
•Execute Design Change Requests, drawing changes
•Optimum utilization of expensive prototyping equipment and resources, maintenance & upkeep

Skills
•Excellent understanding of mechanical design elements/features to achieve functional attributes in implants and instruments.
•Ability to apply knowledge to new designs of implants, instruments
•Competent modeling skills on CAD software
•Competence in GD&T, ASME Y14.5 requirements, tolerance stack analysis
•Understanding of CAM software and application
•Excellent understanding of manufacturing processes and ability to apply knowledge to manufacture prototypes & support manufacturing in PD activities

Qualification
•Diploma in Mech.Engg with minimum 8 years work experience, at least five years in Design function.
