Job Description :

Leads a team of solution architects. Work is performed with minimal direction and is reviewed by senior management. Anticipates and identifies complex business needs and recommends solutions to moderately complex problems. Oversee support to sales team by solution architects or be a senior individual contributor. Tactical role which provides a marked contribution to defining the direction of new solutions, processes, standards or operational plans based upon business strategy, with a significant mid term impact on business unit overall results. Identifies problems and significantly improves, changes or adapts existing method and techniques of developing solutions. Focus is on implementation and control rather than policy and strategy development. Impact of decisions made is short to mid-term in nature. May have small to medium profit and loss responsibility. May have involvement in regional projects, but as a team member rather than project leader.

Areas of Responsibility

• This is a customer facing, technical position that provides functional, design and business expertise to the Business Solutions Sales teams. The primary focus of this position is the design and pricing of leading solutions leveraging Wireless as a technology.
• Identify the practice areas in wireless domain to serve global MNOs spanning Core, RAN, (Engineering & Operations)
• Capability to be built in RF planning, optimization, customer experience management, network audits
• Develop particular practice keeping in view the market potential, Competition, ROI, etc.
• Support in developing resources to address RFPs in wireless domain
• Lead the development, approval, training, and communication of new products/product changes and their associated customer, operational, system & process impacts the various internal organizations.
• Overall understanding on LTE technologies; help driving end-to-end technical solutions in pre-sales engagements supporting the sales and delivery teams.
• Experience in LTE Architecture Review, LTE Radio Interface, Link Budgets for LTE, Coverage Planning, eNB Configuration, IDLE Mode Parameters, CONNECTED Mode Parameters, Capacity Planning for LTE, Coverage Planning for LTE, Coverage Optimization.
• Extensive hands-on experience in design and deployment of LTE network, its administration and troubleshooting skills, post implementation support, product training, requirement analysis, test scenarios and test case design, system integration testing, production verification testing, test summary reports and defect management.
• Analyze customer technology, define business requirements and participate in risk analysis.
• Advise the customer from a technical point of view during pre-sales and delivery phases.
• Work with technical team on preparing test strategy, test plan and test cases for LTE-EPC and VoLTE solution.
• Develop technical presentations and proposals, and perform customer presentations. Drive customer meetings for LTE and VoLTE solutions.
• Experience in responding to RFPs, RFQs, RFIs and SoWs
• Actively contribute and engage others to enhance knowledge transfer, documentation and information sharing.
• Stay abreast of on new technology/technical areas and share information about solution to enable customer competence build.
• Responsible for conducting PoC for various vendors, performing audit and discovery workshops.
• Problem Solving Ability and Creative Thinking: Ability to understand specific needs in which to create or alter solutions. Ability to examine situations from an analytical perspective is absolutely required.
• Presentation & Communication skills: Excellent communication skills are ideal in order to be able to participate and drive customer meetings, as well as develop solutions.
• Team work and collaboration skills: Ability to take on a leadership role in a team environment. People and project management experience is a plus. Ability to work under stressful situations, meet tight deadlines and deliver services with high quality
• Specific prior RF experience would be additional advantage:
o Experience in optimizing neighbor list, Handover control, RF parameter and frequency retuning.
o Coverage Optimization Level and Quality Optimization to ensure Client meets level and Quality Commitments.
o Extensive experience of Cluster Optimization, City Optimization, Town Optimization.
o Optimization by proper antenna Electric and Mechanical tilt, antenna reorientation.
o Pre-Launch Optimization of UTRAN Cluster by audit of physical elements of Network
o Analysis of drive test logs to check RSCP, Pilot Pollution, CQI,RLC Throughput, Served Rate & Scheduled rate for HSDPA ,Check IRAT & Plan Neighbor list and also check CSSR,HOSR,BLER,HSDPA & HSUPA status.
o Analysis of network like call drop, Handover success, Handover Failure.
o Report Preparation for RSCP, EC/Io, Tx power, BLER, Scrambling Codes, HSDPA for WCDMA.
o Report Preparation for BCCH, C/I, RX LEVEL & RX QUAL etc for LTE/WCDMA
o Interaction with customer during optimization of sites (coverage & capacity).

Work Experience Requirements

• 15+ years of experience in Telecom domain

Education & Technical / Professional Certificates
• Master’s in Business Administration (Telecom Management) - Preferred
• Post Graduate / Bachelor in Engineering - Electronics or Electronics & Communications
• Depth of knowledge in LTE / 4G / LTE Advanced and other emerging technologies
• Preferred knowledge in the domains of Wireline and Wireless technologies like PSTN, DSL, UMTS& CDMA.
• Preferred certifications like : CCNA / CCNP / JNCIS
• Knowledge in the domains of : UMTS/CDMA/LTE/EVDO
• Familiar with standards like 3GPP/3GPP2/IETF etc

• Expertise skills mandated on:
o Strong in LTE Architecture & LTE, VoLTE & IMS solutions.
o Proven experience in defining end-to-end solutions for LTE and converged solution.
o Working experience on LTE and IMS interfaces and protocols such as - S1-MME, S1-U, S11, Gx, Rx, Gy, Gz, SGi, Mw, Mb, Mr, Sh, S6a, S5/S8, NAS, S1-AP, GTPv2c, GTP-U, SGs-AP, SGSN, PGW, SGW etc.
o LTE RAN expertise in RRC, RLC, MAC, L1, NAS, Iuh, EnodeB, Femtocell nodes
o Creation of test plans for system level, subsystem level and feature level testing
o In depth working understanding of 3GPP standards like TS 23.401
o Sound knowledge of L2/L3 protocols like OSPF,MPLS,BGP,VLAN,VRRP
• Good to have Product knowledge of Cisco ASR5500, Juniper M Series, Cisco PCRF, Ericsson MME, ALU eNB etc.
• Good blend of telecom domain and business acumen
• Good negotiation skills and people management skills
• Strong oral & written communication skills communicate with internal and external customers
Other Requirements
