Job Position : Commercial Manager
Job Description :
The Commercial Manager is responsible for producing the pricing quotes in a timely fashion at the required level of quality.
•Reporting to the Head GCCE he/she is responsible for managing the complete offer generation process for pricing transactional bids and offers and non-complex bids.
•Working with Sales, Technical and Feasibility teams to prepare pricing quotes.
Responsibilities
•Interact with Sales Managers, Feasibility Department and others
•Prepare price quotes in a timely manner
•Update pricing data base with pricing information/data in an accurate and timely manner
•Act as the single point of contact for the generation of non-complex (transactional commercial offers)
•Conversant with systems and processes, as applicable
•Interact with Commercial Managers, Sales Managers, Feasibility Unit, and others as required
•Prepare price quotes in a timely manner, applying commercial knowledge and utilize commercial intelligence to accurately price the customer solution.
•Work with minimum supervision seeking assistance, when appropriate.
•Acts as bid issue escalation point and responsible for resolution management.
•Must be able to visualize, understand and analyze complex solutions for Enterprise space.
•Must be able to price a complex deal while maintaining deal profitability.
•Commercial Sales Support: Develop commercial proposals; Ad-hoc pricing analysis required on as needed basis; Solution guidance from a commercial perspective; Familiarity with markets serves.
•Must be capable of /comfortable with direct interaction with customers if necessary.
•Deal Governance: Pre-signature documentation review, preparation and approval.
•Post-signature process up to submittal to provisioning team.
•Primary resource for back office queries in relation to deals worked on.
Skills
•2-4 years relevant experience in contract or commercial aspects in service industry
•Excellent quantitive skills required to develop deal profitability models, deal pricing etc.
•Experience in pricing of telecoms services will be an advantage
•Appreciation of the relevant technical or commercial background issues, with an ability to understand technical solutions
•Good knowledge of business modelling and use of excel as a tool for decision support
•Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously
•Understanding of customer contracts, terms & conditions etc
•Capable of working with cross-functional activities with groups located in many sites and time-zones
•Experience in the telecoms services industry
•Experience working on an offshore support desk in India
•Excellent written and verbal communication and inter-personal skills
•Highly motivated, good attention to detail and output focused
•Good team player and comfortable in working a large team dealing with Indian and international colleagues
•Comfortable in raising questions in a timely manner
•Excellent communication and time management skills
•Honours degree
•Fluent English, especially written business English.
