Job Position : Assistant Test Manager – Channels & Workflow

Job Description :

The role is responsible to ensure effective testing for all applications in the Channels and Workflow area, for all new releases, and to ensure defect free release into UAT and production.
•Coordinate with Business engagement / TSD to understand the requirements, estimate, budget and plan testing for the release jointly with the identified TCoE vendor
•Monitor and support SIT and Regression test execution by the TCoE vendor, and resolve issues, if any
•Coordinate and facilitate discussions with all stakeholders to ensure quick resolutions of defects and issues.
•Coordinate with the PMO to Support the UAT done by the business users

Key Result Areas
•Help establish and implement effective processes for Testing.
•Responsible to ensure effective testing for all applications in the Channels/Workflow area and to ensure all agreed SLAs are achieved.
•Review and analyse business requirements and estimate and budget for all testing activities required for the release.
•Plan and execute all Testing activities for the release jointly with the identified TCoE vendor.
•Responsible to create the Test strategy and Test plan documents
•Ensure adequate test coverage through reviews of the Test scenarios and Test cases, and traceability documents
•Ensure review and sign-off of the test scenarios and test cases by the business users / TSD
•Ensure creation of a regression pack for effective regression testing of the applications, and also work with the automation teams to get them automated
•Coordinate with the TOPS team to ensure availability of Test environments for SIT, Regression and UAT for test execution
•Supervise the test execution effort to ensure adherence to plan and also report status to all stakeholders.
•Ensure tracking and reporting of all test metrics and SLAs agreed upon.
•Report status of testing and the project to all stakeholders and timely escalation of issues for quick resolution
•Will have a team of TCoE vendor resources reporting into him, and is also responsible for their work and deliverables

Knowledge, Skills, Qualification and Experience
•12 to 15 years of experience in Testing and good understanding of the Testing lifecycle.
•2 to 4 years of Team management, project management experience managing testing of applications in the channels and workflow area.
•Good knowledge of Channels and Workflow applications.
•4 – 6 years of experience in online banking, IVR, Middleware, and related technologies
•Ability to manage a vendor testing team.
•Good Knowledge on SDLC and the Test lifecycle.
•Computer Science degree or equivalent Qualification.
•Strong technical knowledge in required application area.
•Ability to conduct reviews across the team in all phases.
•Ability to review, understand and improve program code and system documentation.
•Excellent verbal and written communication including ability to prepare system documentation.
•Ability to interpret solution documentation and identify areas of concern and recommend approach.
•Ability to multi-task in a dynamic work environment.
•Ability to work on multiple projects with multiple deadlines
•Ability to communicate clearly with business users and project manager
