Job Position : Application Developer

Job Description :

This Applications Developer will collaborate proactively with functional analysts to translate business and integration requirements into configurable component designs and solutions.
•This position will code, unit test, implement and support these enterprise application solutions.
•The ideal candidate will reflect a mix of strong technical proficiency, application maintenance ownership, and the ability to work effectively with other business and technology personnel and internal customers to provide very responsive support to this global application.
•This candidate will be working in a Matrix management environment reporting to both EMEA On-site and Off-shore managers.
•The Developer will report to the track Manager of the Applications Analyst Group and in dotted line to ITC track lead.
•The position will work with the IS Applications EMEA Team, collaborating with Business Users in testing, executing application enhancements and small projects.
•The position will play an integral part in the company’s initiatives including but not limited to
•Requirements understanding.
•Ability to initially test of developed solutions
•The ability to interview various non-technical managers to understand complex, dynamic business rules/process and then create detailed, specific and comprehensive documentation.
•Project Team, Developer Team and Production Support Team to design and implement an effective solution.
•Manage components of a project plan or smaller projects
•Strong functional understanding of the systems supported and the development framework for customizations
•Verification of feasibility of Business User’s request functionality and business rules based on existing technical systems and data structures.
•Ability to understand and use in day to day activities

•Detailed Specification of Key Business Rules
•Activity Diagrams
•Business Process Mapping Diagrams and Documentation
•Application Gap analysis
•The role will also imply providing 2nd or 3rd level Help Desk support to user community.

QUALIFICATIONS
•The following are the minimum qualifications which an individual needs in order to successfully perform the duties and responsibilities of this position.
•Bachelors degree in a technical/business discipline with 2 to 4 years practical technical/functional experience and 2+ lifecycle implementations

Experience
•2 years of experience and expertise in Oracle ERP applications. Hands on work experience in understanding primarily core Finance modules (AP/GL/AR/FA) and secondary Order Management, Shipping, Pricing and Inventory is required.
•Knowledge in Finance R12 is preferred
•Experience in onsite/offshore model is preferred
•Excellent technical skills with
•SOA Fusion Middleware technology
•Using Jdeveloper for ADF / OAF Framework solutions
•Using PL/SQL in 10 and 11g, SQL, Workflow 2.x, Forms and Reports 6i
•XML Publisher
•Unix/Linux, Shell scripting
•Visio
•Perfect understanding concepts of relational databases and database objects
•Complete mastery of Entity Relationship Diagrams (ERDs) and the translation of business requirements into them
•Experience with change management tools and processes, including source code control, versioning, branching, defect tracking and release management.
•Good knowledge and understanding of Oracle Application API’s
•In-depth knowledge of applications code tuning methodology
•Experience with global implementations of Oracle Applications

Highly Desired
•International experience, in working with Shared Service Center
•Knowledge/experience of integrations with Oracle 11i / R12 applications and legacy systems
